New Study Finds A “Very Strong” Correlation Between GMOs And Two Dozen Disease

It’s no secret that the chronic diseases have been raising in an exponential rate, especially in the last 20 – 30 years. More and more evidence arise every day suggesting that the Genetically Modified Organisms (more specifically known as GMO) have played, and are playing a key role in those statistics.

The Journal of Organic Systems last September published a new study in which they examined US government databases, searching for glyphosate application data,GE (Genetically Engineered) crop data, and disease epidemiological data while performing a “correlation analysis” on a total of 22 various diseases.

The conclusion they reached is alarming:

“These data show highly significant and very strong correlations between GE crop growth,the increasing use of glyphosateand the increase in a multitude of diseases. Many of the graphs are showing sudden increases in the rates of diseases in the mid-1990s that coincides with the start of the commercial production of GE crops. The probabilities in the tables and graphs show that it is highly unlikely that the correlations are a coincidence. The strength of the correlations shows that there is a very strong probability that they are connected somehow.”

It’s important to consider taking into account the multitude of studies that clearly indicate the potential dangers associated with ingesting genetically modified foods, and if you’re thinking causation doesn’t mean correlation, you are right. There is a lot of information out there, and our lack of support for GE foods comes from examining a multitude of information instead of just “a study.” It’s always important to look at a wide variety of evidence and data when trying to make the best possible decisions for you and your family when it comes to GE foods. The statement suggesting that they should not be deemed completely safe for consumption is quite large, and goes far beyond the correlation analysis conducted in this study.

Glyphosate, for example, introduced in 1974 and its use is accelerating with an alarming rate. Over the decades, strong scientific evidence has shown how glyphosate disrupts the balance of gut bacteriaand the endocrine system, that encourages cell mutations and damages DNA which can lead to cancer. It’s also been linked toParkinson’s disease,autism and Alzheimer’s disease, and various other fatal human health ailments. This fact alone gives enormous amount of credence to the main study mentioned in this article.

With all of the information and science that’s now been published, more specifically with regards to glyphosate, it’s absolutely irresponsible, dangerous and absurd for any biotech corporation manufacturing these substances to tell the world that they are completely harmless and safe, and yet that is exactly what they do. Don’t you think? How could a corporation charged with regulating our global food supply like Monsanto claim that glyphosate is safe despite all of the evidence confirming that it’s not?

Remember that the use of glyphosate raised 1500% from 1995 to 2005, and that 100 millions of pounds of glyphosate are used every year on more than a billion acres.

This is exactly why a big number of countries all over the world have banned GMOs and the pesticides that go with them completely. The number of countries that still import or use these products is rapidly decreasing. The most recent country to introduce severe restrictions regarding GMOs, and make a lot of noise in doing it, is Russia.

David Suzuki, CC,OBC,PH.D LLD, Geneticistsaid that: “Any scientist or politician who tells you these products are safe is either lying or very stupid. The hazards of these foods are uncertain. The premature application of biotechnology is downright dangerous in view of our enormous ignorance. By slipping it into our food without any indication and without our knowledge, saying that there are genetically modified organisms in our food, we are now unwillingly part of a massive and dangerousexperiment.”
