It belongs to the cabbage family, and it originates in northern Europe. Young vegetables are very juicy, soft and delicious, mostly used raw as a salad. Mature veggies are most often used cooked, braised and baked.<\/p>\n<p>The vegetable is extremely rich in vitamins and dietary fibers and contains only 27 kcal per 100 g.
