Long, thick, beautiful eyelashes are \u201cin\u201d according to the beauty world. That\u2019s why many women have decided that mascara isn\u2019t enough, and have opted for artificial lashes instead. But beauty Salon owner Emma Dhanjal is warning women everywhere about the potential dangers of fake lashes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Dhanjal said she was horrified by what she saw when a client walked into her salon pleading for lash extensions just in time for her birthday weekend. Dhanjal posted the story to her business\u2019s Facebook page, <\/span><\/span>Emmaculate Beauty salon in Perth, after she met the woman.<\/p>\n

Dhanjal\u2019s Warning<\/h3>\n

\u201cPLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your research,\u201d she wrote. \u201cThis poor girl has been left with extremely damaged natural lashes.\u201d Dhanjal included photos of the woman\u2019s eyelashes alongside her post.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe wanted lashes for her birthday this weekend and I could not lash her because she has been left with no lashes\u2026\u201d she wrote. \u201cHer natural lashes are sooooo damaged from the place she has been having her lashes done, they were falling out when I touched them with tweezers.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dhanjal added that her client also had inflamed eyelids and she would need to see her doctor for infection. \u201cHer lashes may never be the same again,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

She ended her post with a final warning<\/span>, \u201cThis should NEVER ever happen to your lashes, please do not be scared of having lash extensions applied, if you do your research and go to the right place your lash extensions can be applied for years and years without having a break,\u201d she explained. \u201cI take a lot of pride in my work and this makes me feel sick it is still happening out there. Make sure you are 100 per cent certain you know the background of your next eyelash artist.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dhanjal shared her advice for people looking to get fake lashes. \u201cMy advice for people looking to get lashes is to look at reviews, and make sure the professional knows what they\u2019re doing,\u201d she said. \u201cPrices are also important \u2013 you get what you pay for if you go too cheap. Definitely look at photos on social media to find out if the place is any good. I do want to say, however, that people shouldn\u2019t be scared of having their eyelashes done. This shouldn\u2019t happen, and won\u2019t in most places.\u201d<\/p>\n
