{"id":4247,"date":"2025-11-14T17:02:27","date_gmt":"2025-11-14T15:02:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.loveforhealthyfood.com\/?p=4247"},"modified":"2025-11-14T17:02:27","modified_gmt":"2025-11-14T15:02:27","slug":"scientists-urge-government-contaminate-public-water-common-psych-med","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.loveforhealthyfood.com\/?p=4247","title":{"rendered":"Scientists Urge Government To Contaminate Public Water With Common Psych Med"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The chemical encroachment into our public water supply is ramping up as scientists are now suggesting infusing it with\u00a0<span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-126\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-111\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><strong><em>another<\/em><\/strong> bioactive substance.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-113\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-132\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-133\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span>After Japanese researchers found that suicide rates were lower in areas with higher amounts of naturally-occurring lithium in the water, the conclusion seemed obvious: more lithium equals fewer suicides.<span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-127\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-112\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Given the country\u2019s serious suicide problem, Japan\u2019s public began urging officials to use lithium as a chemical weapon against suicide.<\/p>\n<p><em>Lithium is a naturally occurring chemical element that, at high doses, is used for the treatment of bipolar disorder and severe depression. Side effects of lithium use at these doses include hypothyroidism, weight gain and kidney failure.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4248\" src=\"http:\/\/www.loveforhealthyfood.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/lithiummineraal.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"250\" height=\"270\" \/><\/p>\n<p>However, putting aside the ethical concerns for a moment, conclusive data has been far from acquired.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, researchers from Scotland decided to replicate the Japanese study and mend some of its methodological weaknesses\u2014implying far more research must be conducted before blasting chemicals into our water.<span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-118\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-130\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to improve the methodology by looking at smaller postcode areas,\u201d said Daniel Smith, the team\u2019s lead researcher.<span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-117\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Despite the ambiguity, prior studies from as early as 1990 found similar results within the United States.<span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-149\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-154\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-120\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span>Performed on 27 Texas counties, the lithium link was also found, with suicide rates\u2014and even homicide\/rape rates\u2014sometimes as much as 40% lower where the chemical existed in higher amounts.<\/p>\n<p>Even without conclusive causal evidence, though, numerous publications, researchers, and psychiatrists have called for a forced-infusion of lithium into public water.<\/p>\n<p>Even the\u00a0<span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-155\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-145\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><em>New York Times,\u00a0<\/em>in an editorial by the Weill Cornel Medical College, the debate\u00a0was described as \u201cmoot.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMother Nature has already put a psychotropic drug in the drinking water, and that drug is lithium,\u201d reads the piece.<\/p>\n<p>The underlying debate, however, inevitably treads into ethics, with many activists saying such practices would violate citizens\u2019 rights.<span id=\"ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-152\" class=\"ezoic-adpicker-ad\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The opposition, though, is not convinced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf low-dose lithium proves as good as its promise, we should not allow abstract arguments about our \u2018freedom\u2019 to drink unadulterated water to prevent us from undertaking a mass fortification effort,\u201d wrote Jacob M. Appel, a bioethicist, for the Huffington Post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome nay-sayers will inevitably argue that medically fortifying the public water is a violation of individual liberty,\u201d he added, \u201cOf course, nobody is forcing those dissident individuals to drink tap water. They are welcome to purchase bottled water.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Given the corrupt collusion practices of Big Pharma and Big Government, it\u2019s not a stretch to say that putting literal \u201cmind-bending\u201d powers into the hands of our leaders is\u2026.unsafe, to say the least.<\/p>\n<h4>This isn\u2019t new news.
