You can pick Gorgonzola Dolce or Gorgonzola Piccante (Gorgonzola Naturale). The former is sweet, milky, and creamy with hints of spice. The latter is more aged – generally a year or more – and, as a result, is more piquant, firmer and crumblier.
PROTEIN BREAKFAST WITH GORGONZOLA
The recipe makes 1 serving. Nutritional value: 250 Calories, 20 g Fat, 1 g Carbs, 16 g Protein.
Ingredients that you need:
- 1 egg
- 1 egg white
- 2 oz. (50 g) spinach
- 1 oz. (30 g) Gorgonzola cheese
- a few drops of olive oil
Preparation:
In a bowl, whisk the egg and egg white. Then add chopped gorgonzola and previously boiled spinach.
Season it to taste and stir.
Bake the omelet in a non-stick pan with a few drops of olive oil.
Serve with a cherry tomato.
